Flight Booking Terms & Conditions

Last updated:

These terms explain use of makemystrip.com and the flight booking assistance offered by Makemystrip. Read them with the itinerary, fare conditions, fee disclosure, and payment details supplied for the particular service you request. Browsing a page or asking for a quote does not authorize a charge.

Airlines and other suppliers have terms for the services they deliver. Our terms govern our own assistance and do not remove obligations that apply to us. A restriction in these pages does not override a consumer right that the law does not allow a business to exclude.

1. The service and the parties involved

Makemystrip provides independent travel-agency assistance and does not operate flights. Contacting us is not the same as contacting an airline directly. The selected airline or supplier delivers the travel service described in your itinerary.

We can assist with the booking steps you authorize and explain the information available for your request. Inventory, flight operations, and many travel decisions remain with the provider. A carrier's responsibilities and our own responsibilities remain separate.

2. Authority and passenger information

A purchase must be authorized by an adult who can lawfully enter the transaction and use the chosen payment method. If arranging travel for someone else, obtain their permission to provide information and review the booking conditions on their behalf.

Supply accurate passenger names, dates of birth where requested, contact details, and other necessary information. Names must match the documents used for travel. Name corrections and passenger substitutions are different requests and may be restricted by the ticket rules.

3. Searches, quotations, and ticket status

A displayed itinerary or quote describes an option available for review, rather than an issued ticket. Availability can change before issuance. A payment authorization or reservation reference can exist while a request remains pending.

Check the written status and airline ticket number, or the provider's ticketless confirmation where applicable. If an itinerary cannot be supplied as authorized, any replacement flight or increased amount requires your agreement. Do not assume a pending request is ready for travel.

4. Prices, currency, and agency fees

Before payment, review the total for the stated passengers and itinerary, including airfare, taxes, mandatory charges, selected extras, and any agency fee. Confirm the currency and whether a figure is per traveler or for the whole booking.

A Makemystrip assistance fee is separate from an airline charge. The service, amount, and relevant cancellation or refund conditions must be explained before you agree. These general terms do not impose an additional fixed fee or authorize later charges that were not disclosed.

Optional purchases require a clear choice. If a bank applies its own currency-conversion or international-transaction charge, that charge is governed by your bank's terms. Request clarification when a quoted cost or the party collecting it is unclear.

5. Payment approval and verification

Only submit payment details for the transaction you approve. The booking service may need to verify billing or passenger information before processing. A card authorization hold, a settled payment, and a ticket issuance are separate events; ask for the status before submitting a second payment.

Keep the receipt and identify the merchant collecting each charge. Do not send full card numbers, security codes, passwords, or unnecessary identity documents through ordinary email. Our Privacy Policy explains the information collected by the booking payment flow.

6. Changes, cancellations, refunds, and credits

Voluntary changes can involve available inventory, fare differences, permitted supplier charges, and a separately agreed assistance fee. Check how a change affects every flight in the booking, especially an outbound and return ticket.

Carrier cancellations and qualifying disruptions can create rights that differ from voluntary cancellation rules. A non-refundable ticket label does not override those rights. Confirm the action actually taken and distinguish a travel credit from money returned to the payment method.

7. Documents and travel preparation

Confirm identification, passport, visa, transit, and destination requirements with the relevant official authorities. Allow time for any required permissions. A ticket or booking discussion is not a guarantee of border admission.

Check the operating carrier's baggage allowances, check-in deadlines, terminal details, and assistance procedures. Request accessibility and other special arrangements early and obtain confirmation from the relevant provider. A preference entered in a booking is not always a confirmed service.

8. Communications and account access

Provide contact details you can access, check your messages and spam folder, and report a missing or incorrect confirmation promptly. Sending a message does not by itself cancel or modify a ticket. No guaranteed response time or continuous availability is implied by a contact button.

Keep account credentials private and sign out on shared devices. Do not use another person's records without authority, submit fraudulent details, interfere with the website, or attempt unauthorized access. Account and browser data are covered by the Privacy and Cookies policies.

9. Supplier events and legal remedies

Weather, airline operations, border decisions, and supplier performance may affect a trip. These events require review under the ticket conditions and applicable law. Describing an outside event does not excuse our own unlawful conduct or a duty that applies to our service.

Nothing here prevents you from raising a concern with a carrier, bank, regulator, or court where available. No mandatory refund right or non-excludable consumer protection is waived. Third-party websites apply their own terms when you choose to use them.

10. Questions and updated terms

Send a booking reference, a description of the concern, and the outcome you are requesting. Keep quotations, receipts, and relevant correspondence. Contacting us does not extend an airline, credit, payment-dispute, or legal deadline.

The update date identifies this version of the website terms. Changes to website text do not retrospectively authorize a new charge or remove conditions agreed for a completed transaction. Review the terms shown for each new purchase.
