Makemystrip can help review a current public fare while you consider a flight purchase. The aim is to compare equivalent itineraries and determine whether the same or another suitable option is available. A lower headline amount does not necessarily describe the same ticket.
This is a pre-purchase comparison service. It is not a price-match guarantee, a price-protection product, or an agreement to reimburse a price drop after purchase. No amount is due merely because a different price appears elsewhere.
1. Request review before authorizing a ticket
Provide the public source and complete itinerary while you are deciding whether to buy. Neither a screenshot nor a link reserves inventory, and the fare can change during the review.
Do not buy an extra ticket on the assumption that an existing purchase will be cancelled without cost. Each purchase has its own conditions, payment record, and applicable consumer protections.
2. Details needed for a fair comparison
- The same airports, dates, passenger types, and one-way or round-trip coverage.
- The same flights, operating carriers, cabin, and connections where relevant.
- Comparable baggage, seats, change flexibility, and cancellation conditions.
- The same currency and the total including mandatory charges and agency fees.
- An offer that is currently public, available, and selectable for the stated journey.
3. Information to send
Share the source link, date and time observed, fare breakdown, and restrictions. Remove payment details and account credentials from screenshots. A visual price record helps describe an offer but cannot prove that it remains purchasable.
Explain which features matter, such as arriving by a particular time or including a checked bag. A different connection or allowance may be a useful alternative, but it should be identified as a different product.
4. Offers with different eligibility
Private fares, loyalty redemptions, employee rates, package bundles, membership pricing, targeted coupons, and expired promotions may have conditions that prevent a public like-for-like comparison. A figure omitting a mandatory cost is not the same final total.
A suspected pricing error or an unavailable fare does not establish an obligation to match it. You may decline any alternative proposed after review and choose another provider.
5. What a review can produce
A review may find an equivalent option, a differently priced itinerary, or no matching inventory. Any proposed booking still requires approval of its flights, complete price, and conditions. A discussion is not permission to charge a card.
There is no automatic post-purchase adjustment when fares later change. Any separate benefit would need explicit written terms for the service concerned. This page does not introduce such a benefit.
6. Review value and restrictions together
Consider the complete journey and services rather than comparing ticket totals alone. Ask about baggage, airport transfers, layovers, and restrictions that could affect the trip or a later change.
Keep the quotation you accept and review the associated fare disclosure. A comparison request does not remove mandatory rights or change the conditions of a ticket already issued.
